Custom DSP

One of the most frequent demands from the customers having specific application in their mind is the "Custom made DSP". Actually, you might need to process one algorithm very quick to minimize the MIPS count on your specific application, or you might wish to access very big DRAM in special accessing mode. Clarkspur will help you by modifying the "Instruction", "peripheral I/F logic" on our current open architecture DSP core so that you can accomplish the development in time. For example, one Huffman decoding instruction will make an MP3 Huffman (maximum code table) decoding from 78cycles to 20 cycle operation.

The CD245x series DSPs carry good flexibility on choosing a data bit width. There is only minimum necessary modification taking place on the original CD245x when you need to employ some bit length between 16-32 bit. Please feel free to write us about your requirement for the data bit width. It may be just one snap away. For 16,24 and 32 bit data width requirement, you may choose from CD2470A, 2480A and CD2490A in our latest line of DSP IP cores.
